About me
Dr. Kenney is a psychologist and mother of two grown autistic sons. She owns a private psychological practice where she provides clinical services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders, their families, and individuals with mental conditions. She is employed as a regional director for a large national health care company which focuses on treating difficult patients in challenging environments. She conducts trainings for medical providers, mental health clinicians, emergency responders and law enforcement on effective ways to work with individuals on the spectrum. She also teaches at the university level on a variety of clinical subjects. As a mother of autistic children, Dr. Kenney has spent many decades advocating for her children and collaborating with partners throughout her children's educational careers. She was a member of the advisory panel for her sons' special education and gifted program. She was also a member of a child-protection oversight board, where she collaborated with community partners to keep students safe in the community, school, and home settings. An advocate for building strength and resilience in people, Dr. Kenney understands the importance of community, effective administration, and quality education to produce healthy, successful children.
