I hold a PhD in Education from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom; and Master in Special Education (Psychological Perspectives) from UCL Institute of Education , London, United Kingdom.
My session titled: Fixed Ability or Unlimited Potential: The Role of Mediated Learning aims to introduce the concept of Mediation as an alternative to special teaching for special children.
The worksop will answer the following questions:
- Can Intelligence be enhanced?
- How much role do genes play in determining how we function in daily living?
- Is the potential of individuals diagnosed with genetic disorder or pervasive developmental delay fixed?
- What can teachers, therapists, and counsellors do to enable disadvantaged individuals overcome the conditions affecting their developmental trajectory?
Looking forward to seeing you all.
